Easy job...I work for Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) in the ESSM (Emergency Ships Salvage Material) program. I teach a forklift operations course (3,000 lb narrow isle to 40,000 lb lifts). I teach boat operations for 18 ft to 50 ft craft (work boats and open ocean oil skimmers, single and twin screw). I train apprentices and run an overhaul shop for the US Navy. We overhaul and repair everything from Diesel engines to what diesel engines turn, push and operate or drive. Generators, pumps, hydraulic power units, boats from 18 ft to 50 ft, we change propellers of ships while in the water of every thing from tugs to carriers, if the US Navy drops it overboard (even 5 miles deep) we go get it. We respond to oil spills like the EXXON Valdez to the mess in New Orleans...Should I brag some more??? Oh...I almost forgot. I travel all over the world. I must maintain (company pays for them) a pass port and an international drivers license...I just got back from Crete a while back...Great food...Those Greeks love to eat...

I spent 22 years in the US Navy as a main propusion specialist. (Engineman). When I retired I fell backwards into a pile of sh++ and came out smellin' like a rose...That's how I got this job...Seriously...

Thank you, but I don't work on them as they have not been manufatured in many a year...They were used in Germany to turn huge generators...The largest I work on now is around 30 ft long X 4 ft wide and 8 ft high. Some with a 12 inch bore and a 14 inch stroke...Enterprise. Some with 12 cylinders and 24 pistons...Fairbanks-Morse. And EMD's (Electromotive Diesels) GM's And a whole lot of Detroits...John Deere, Izuzu, Lambordini, Volvo-Penta and other small and large diesels...
