Donut,
My daughter is going to be 18 next month.
She did rebel as most teenager do, although in a way I am lucky since both my daughters are very keen in competitive sports (they both are in national level),
they would think hard and long before succumbing into any type of stimulant (alcohol included).
The best thing I have ever heard from a mate of mine is,
"Think of what you would behave at that age. Your offspring is a reflection of what you were. And you turns out OK didn't you?"
Yeah, at the age, I also experiments, be it good or bad, I am what I am today.
I am sure your daughter would turns out Ok, she is just stretching her wings..
(I hope mine does too)

My mother on raising your children..."Remember when you were a kid. You should not expect anything different from your own".
Hummm. Reminds me of when I was working under my pickup when my oldest was 16. Ask him to get me a beer. He did after he had dumped it and replace the beer with water. Never spit water straight up when you are under a pickup.

Kids, even the older ones need boundaries.
Regardless of her current age taking something without permission is simple THEFT, and she's stealing from you.
Well you've no doubt had your say, now we all get to watch and see if the talking too worked.
Brilliant idea BTW, love it.
More the sign of a good parent than a bad one, now its up to her.

I'm having a problem with my 18 yo daughter. She's in her 1st year of college but she thinks she is an adult and dosent have to live by any rules. |
Do what my father did, instead of threatening to kick her out (as he did to my youngest brother) threaten to move out and leave her with the mortgage and bills!

Well, a few weeks back, she took some tequlia without me knowing. |
Lock it up. She'll get annoyed by it, and eventually burst out a complaint after trying to get at the booze a couple of times that its locked now. Better then even a picture for admission of guilt!

When the heck did that happen? It seems like just yesterday you posted a picture of them being tiny little girls!

No youre not a bad parent. I agree with all of the above,
I'm bloody glad my boys, now 19 and 21, didn't behave like me cause I was a little shit! - I just didn't get caught all that often.
Yep she's going to push the bounds, but talk to her like an adult, give her wings with boundaries.

Is that what those are for? I thought they were for adding oil to the engine of my pickup when I changed oil.
Hummm...Wife might not be happy with me if she finds out.
