Well it took months to get the right mount and then the weather has been terrible. Friday was clear and cold. When I got to the range the wind had picked up and was coming at the firing line veering between 10 and 2 oclock. After getting on the paper at 20 meters, I moved out to 50. The red dot sight has no magnification and the three MOA dot covers a pretty big portion of the bull. I was pleased with the results given all the factors against me. This gun will be used for small game out to 75 meters. I will post pics of target and mount later.
The mount is a BKL airgun 30mm one piece. It is rock solid. I adjusted for elevation only after shpts #2 & 3.

soory Mac I forget what this fine piece of russian gunmakers art this is. it looks to be the side by side double which Ive been drooling over as it comes in 45/70. the single shot rifles mount/front sights are alot different than those you show. we need to get the one piece mount that has both rings on it that are approx 110mm long to get a scope to sit right on my bro in laws as the dove tail on rifle is off centre and goes adrift of the bore line and twists the scope with 2 piece mounts.I s that mount see through???

This is the "Sever" O/U model in 22 WMR and 20 gauge. No see thru but the dovetail is centered. The mount is squeezed onto the DT as the screws are tightened instead of having a separate clamp. The red dot is perfectly raised for a heads-up sight. It is most used as a shotgun sight but it makes, as you can see, a tolerable rifle one as well.

ok that makes a great combo, have a good look around as .22mag ammo has really improved in the last few years. federal makes a 60grn that my mates lever used to like, the maximag from CCI was ok and there is even pointy plastic tips out now.
