Had a couple good groups with the 32 & 40 gr. gr Hornady V-Max and RL15 powder. I wish the 40 gr. shot as well because it's much easier to hold those little bullets.

THe rifle is a Howa 1500 Varminter in .204 Ruger. This has become my favorite rifle.

This rifle & caliber has become my favorite, it is simply fun to shoot. Even my wife looks forward to using it.

All loads shoot from good to great, factory and reloads. This spring & summer I hope to go on my first prarie dog shoot.

beautiful Rifle, damn fine groups. hope to have something like that to show off next week. The groups, not the rifle.

Happy shooting.

Try the 39gr Sierra Blitz King bullets. I don't know if it's the 1gr weight difference or the consistency of the Sierras, but they tend to group extremely well.
On the other hand, my Ruger 77 somehow prefers Hornady 32gr VMax bullets to the 32gr Sierras. I don't know why, and don't really care, since at 150 yards it is almost impossible to tell how many rounds created that one tiny hole. The groups were so tight that, after looking through a spotting scope, I intentionally held one shot a little low and left to make sure that more than one bullet had hit the paper.
