I am the emergency management director for my township here in Pennsylvania. We just got some much needed rain from the most recent storm. However, the major news stations so hyped the weather that some folks were having anxiety attacks. Here is a bit of information; only go the the National Weather Service website for weather information. The National Weather Service is not allowed to hype the weather reports. You local news stations can say whatever they want and they usually do about the weather and most of it is wrong. Take care...

Joe,
The same situation happened in my part of Pennsylvania. The news hype had people breathing like Darth Vader. From the local weather reports, I expected to see folks walking around wearing life preservers or start working on an ark. I am the emergency management director in my area and was appointed by the township supervisors and hold a commission from the Governor. All the best...
Gil

I expected to be stuck inside all day Saturday, lots of wind and rain. Instead we went to an air show! Some of the planes didn't show due to weather concerns and it was a bit breezy but the scheduled acts flew.

Just talked to a freind of mine in Clifton, VA. They had 7" of rain, 4" of rain is the danger mark any more than that floods his driveway. It washed out the repairs he had to make to his driveway a year ago. In Oakton they are under water also!!
