I started out years ago with Lyman dies, and have never had any trouble of any kind with any of them (8 sets). I've never had reason to look further.

I don't know who makes the best but I have mostly RCBS dies but I also have some Lyman and one set of Lee. I have never had a problem with any of them.

JO422,
I guess I'm the exception, I don't like Lee equipment or their office staff if you call them. No offence fellas. IMHO, Redding, followed by RCBS are the best dies on todays market.
I'll admitt that I'm a real nit picker when it comes to my reloading equipment. I strive for the finest accuracy I can get. I don't mind paying a little extra for the best, but junk is junk! I don't care how cheap it was. If you should happen to miss an animal, or worse yet, wound one, how are you going to know what to correct to prevent it ever happening again?
Some may not feel as strongly about it as I do, but unless I know that the animal I'm going to shoot will drop at the shot, I don't want to take the shot. Good luck and God bless.

i just started reloading 6 months ago. starting with 303 and just going to 45 long colt. after researching on the net i hit the gunshops in a 100 mile circle around me.
guess what i found.
every single shop that had a preference and knew reloading reccommended LEE dies. every single one.
so far ive reloaded 400 45 colt and 1000 303 shells and have not had a missfire plus my accuracy improved from a bench rest from 3 inches at 100 yards to 1.5 inches.
for a 303 thats not bad considering the lee is half the cost and works as well or better than any other brand.
