Guns and Ammo... You may have heard on the news about a southern California manput under 72-hour psychiatric observation when it was foundhe owned 100 guns and allegedly had (by rough estimate)1-million rounds of ammunition stored in his home. The house alsofeatured a secret escape tunnel. My favorite quote from the dimwit television reporter: "Wow! He hasabout a million machine gun bullets." The headline referred to itas a "massive weapons cache”. By southern California standards someone even owning100,000 rounds would be called "mentally unstable. Just imagine ifhe lived elsewhere: In Arizona, he'd be called "an avid gun collector”. In Arkansas, he'd be called "a novice gun collector". In Utah, he'd be called "moderately well prepared", but they'dprobably reserve judgment until they made sure that he had acorresponding quantity of stored food. In Montana , he'd be called "The neighborhood 'Go-To' guy". In Idaho, he'd be called "a likely gubernatorial candidate". In Wyoming, he'd be called "an eligible bachelor". And, in Texas, he’d be called “a deer hunting buddy”.

I have a vague memory of a news story from 1971 when I was living in ohio.
The news footage showed a smoking hole in the ground where a house used to be.
Apparently the owner (now spread over several hundred square feet) was an avid reloader and gun enthuist. They estimate several hundred thousand rounds of ammunition and a lot of 25lb kegs of propellant powder (remember those) went up.
So if things weren't stored correctly the authorities may have a point, that and the fact they really hate being outgunned.
So what was the verdict on his sanity?
Maybe he was just getting in before obama and his soft cock crew tried to ban everything.

Maybe just an avid reloader and just couldn't help himself.

Why have a 100,000 rounds if things go haywire in this country you can only carry so much anyways.

Maybe because they intend to stay put. I would unless extreme circumstances forced a move.

I remember the rumor about it last year I think it was.
Jist of it was he had machine guns, a felony here. I never could nail down any hard facts on the whole thing or they were replica's or disabled antiques.
While back some old hoarder had a shipping container in the back yard full of surplus ammo and stuff and, well, it got in the mess due to a small fire....they place was a mess of old corroded BMG rounds and what nots. Nasty ugly stuff I'd never put in amything of mine. The whole place was a dump. Medai made a frenzy about it. Stuff was cooking off so they natrualy made a big deal about it. Word has it the guy was burning trash or something burning got away from him engulfing the out buildings and container.
When crack houses explode or impropperly stored gas cans go boom no one hardly bats an eye out here, go figure.

Ooh I'm not shakey. Just hard to track a running rat with the defensive sights on this particular weapon.
Grand daughter went south to georgia a month ago or she could have a go at it.
