BTW Guys. I just picked up an antique Remington Model 550 .22 auto from my sister. It was left with her by her exhusband, who she repeatedly asked to come pick it up and he just abandoned it. So, she gave it to me. Needs a butt plate which I have found locally and he apparently did a stock refinish which is pretty terrible. But alas, it was free. I love free. It's drilled and taped for scope base...I just gotta figure out WHICH scope base.
NEW PROJECT!

Sounds like a good chance to practice refinishing stocks!

well as promised here's my new carbine-
S&W M&P 15-22, MOE (magpul orig. equipment).
has a lot of neat features, i added a red-dot and a matching magpul RVG on the rail. stock, grip, MBUS flip-up knock-off sights etc are all magpul from the factory. comes with a match barrel too, or so they say, for what that's worth. just picked it up today. sorry for the fuzz and stuff. aint cleaned it yet, cant with one hand in a sling cuz of my shoulder repair. was about all i could do to get the rvg and dot on there. first shooter i ever got i aint taken right out and fired up. i cant wait to run the sim-courses with it. might be a while though. dang it! im diggin this thing. been a spell since i dragged out the red carpet too so chambered should be excited about that.

Nice AR 22, stovey! They sure are making it more and more like the AR-15. I bought mine when they first came out and it had fewer features. Yep, the beaver-tail on the grip doesn't match up but it works just fine. I have put more rounds down range with this gun than any other and I've had it less than a year. You should look to pick up the shorter 10-round magazines for convenience shooting of the bench or prone. You might add your experiences with it to this thread.
The mini-me of ARs
