OK fellas, I do not know where to post this but I am hoping someone can advise me.
I am looking for a fired one -shot ( that is right shot 1 bullet) Winchester 88 in 308 Win with original paperwork and BOX! As new!
What is the max you would pay for this gun.
I am a Marlin nut but this is a phenomenal looking gun.
Serial #238XXX
Year of manufacture or any inputs will be greatly appreciated.

Pop they were built from 55-73 .. 284971 were made ..
238xxx was built in 69 ..
NRA VG ( 92% ) for a post 64 is $300 rifle , $400 carbine ..
However that said we know how those figures go ..
I have seen a very good , IMO 308 at $450 with no manual or scope ..
Me personally I wud go $750 tops ..

It may well be worth it , if it can be verified that only one round has been fired .. However , I know you , and if ya caint shoot it , kinda takes the fun out of it ..
How much will it be worth when you run bullet #2 and #3 down the barrel ??
If ya want an 88 , they do show up at shows ever so often , find a good used one that you wont spend so much on and enjoy it .. they are sweet guns ..

At $1 K, I would pass. These rifles show up on the used gun racks around here in excellent condition for about $450.00. All the best...

$1k is way too much for a post '64 model 88 (S/N is above 148xxx which would make it a post 64) I would only pay in 90%+ for that rifle no more than $375 (with that being the very most) .
