I finally got my interview yesterday. I talked with the interviewers for a good hour. I got hired on the spot, which totally floored me, I figured it would take a week or two for them to decide. I will be a Trainer/Instructor/Operator for the M1A1/M1A2 Abrams, and M2/M3 Bradley simulators. We operate in 5 states, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Montana, Idaho, and Washington. On occasion we will end up in other states. By what I saw on the calendar we will be traveling about once a month for 10 to 15 days at a time. Maybe I will be able to link up for coffee or a beer with some of you nuts.
I was as giddy as a school kid yesterday. After being laid off and taking a substantial cut in pay on my tree trimming job the bills were piling up, but I felt the weight being lifted off my shoulders. The pay is more then I had originally thought, WOW! I need someone to pinch me and make sure this is real.
To start out I get to spend my days playing on the system to get reacquainted with it. Pretty cool play video games on steroids, not have to put any quarters in, and get paid very well while doing it. I am so excited to start this job.

Thanks all. I can't wait to start my new job. This is a once in a life time opportunity. I think I finally figured out what I want to be when I grow up.
