What happened to Suz?? I've been missing her special brand of humor in the posts lately.

She is probably on vacation or gone to the coast again to do some fishing. If she doesn't surface in a week, we should start a contest like we did with chambered!

Maybe she is busy -
A woman has a right to exercise her freedoms.
Maybe she is visiting a friend.... (wink)

Well thanks for missing me! I'm still here about every night and weekend but mostly reading. It's been slow on here so I've been reading Death In The Afternoon, Hemingway is a favorite of mine and this is my second reading of it. I think I first read it in high school. I couldn't get enough of him at that age. He has sentences that span a paragraph and you soon get so enveloped in his landscape that you can't easily find a way out. This book is about bull fighting (if you don't know) and it's a real definitive book on the subject. When I lived in Az. you could get bull fights from Mex. on the TV (many years ago) I loved watching them, to the horror of my family. They would put see-through beer comercials on the screen so you wouldn't miss a vital sword plunge or matador tossing. In Hemingway's time he thought of the bull fights as very heroic studies of killing, and he wanted to document it, including every aspect and small detail.
Other than that I've been very busy at work, actually got some overtime for once. I'm refinancing my home also. Got locked in at 4.125%, can't beat that. It cost about $4800 to do it, but I also financed that. I'll never pay off my home anyway, so the lower payments will maybe allow for more retirement money. (like I can afford to retire..) Cant think of any scandals lately...I wanna pick on somebody but can't think who....Chambered and Fn are stayin away from me.....Marty an that ole wooly-bugger BushM and Pumpitykin are sweeties...Paul lives too close to harass....Vinny! Elvis! Radar! Yeah!!...Naw they're too good to me. Alyosis is a good buddy too, but I haven't heard from him lately, his wife's probably put a stop to it....I'll think of someone....maybe a newbie, break-em in good. Who's a good newbie to fling a spit-wad at? We need to start a rumor round here. The ole stump's getting carpenter ants and tha's where the newbies sit when they're gettin the introductory beer. Maybe we should not only invite them to the stump but see how long they can sit there with no complaints. Snickering at them as the ants go up their pant legs. And if they find wood!!!....ok I'll stop..

Thanks, Suz - that's the kind of stuff that's been lacking here while you were reading Hemingway.
PS- You're welcome to hurl a few spitballs my way. I don't get offended. I'm surprised that you haven't mentioned my whacky avatar.

Suz, here 15 September is the last day of roebuckseason and we had 1 label left. On the 14th lots of rain and strong wind, no good. About 30 min before season closed, I shot our last buck for this year...
but now we are already into ducks, doves and rabbits and when your dog still has to learn a lot, you have to go hunting very often (all the other years you have to look for good reasons not to mow the grass or 'forget' some other stupid householdwork).
So I was a little busy, but not so busy that I wouldn't read your comments or jokes. Don't worry, you still are my favorite Indian

Yeah Marty is that YOU? I love the shirt but the henna hair has me worried. A lady at work just had her hair henna-ed and it turns out she has a boy friend from Saudi Arabia (that doesn't look right) any way hope she knows what she's in for, he did give her a very nice watch, encrusted with diamonds.
Alyosisisis the hunting maniac. You have to post some photos!! E-mail me, I'll post them for you. Indian with a small letter i ? That's sort of like an adjective. It can be correct in some instances, but I'll forgive you. How is your 'youngster' dog doing? Keeping up to speed with the rest of them?
SlimJ I looked over the primer posts last night, I think Bushy got squished with his primers, but the over-all conversation is wonderfully pointed. A few very good links to photos and explainations. I'm no expert, so I sort of keep my 2 cents to myself. I c ould have messed up a good thing. I tend to hi-jack with my snickering and jabbing but it's fun! Actually I'm thinkin somebody is on my radar...don't know how, but somehow. I think this person is prime for a run-up. We need some new blood into the slapppin around, some sort of new zeal, in the mix of things. I'm feelin there's a handsome guy out there that wants to cop a feel of the chase. Someone that wants to be cuffed around a bit and likes to dodge bullets (so to speak, not actual bullets). Wonder who might fit the bill? Gotta go lookin for dirt, I guess....jokes-n-humor?, might be a good place to look around. Well....gotta go...
