I do hope the younger guys are watching this thread because you might learn a bit from guys that drink and have been drinking for a long long time. I drive and I drink, but never together. I did as a young man when I knew I was bullet proof and teflon coated, nothing could touch me. Today after way to many friend's funerals, I know better. Moderation in all things and no drinking and driving, gun shooting, hunting or anything else dangerous, after a nip. If you are near someone that does, suggest you get away. You will live longer.
Enjoy but be safe.
Best,
Ed

Nevermind that the drinker live long live..
It is the guy in the sidewalk that walk sober, or the oncoming traffic that drives sober.
The drinker can drive down six feet for all I care.
Many times in the news I heard that drunk driver wipes out a family that are innocently sharing the road,
or the drunk that drives their car into houses killing or gravely injuring the occupant,
or the pedestrian that got swiped by drunk drivers..
I would like to have "an eye for an eye" law but those idiots do not worth as much as the hair on their victims head.
Those bloody bastards !!

I agree, it's not the drunk dirver, it's the others that I worry aobut. Lost 2 friends in one summer in high school to drunk dirvers. The second one was killed by a threepetter and he only got 4 years and served less than 2.
Since being here my Principal and Vice Principal has decided that I need to drink and school functions. I have learned Cass is nasty, it's like sweet beer. Soju, what they think is strong, is like water. They mix it with Cider/Sprite (soda) and kool-aid. Watched several friends try to stand after a few and go dude did I drink alcohol. The Plum wine is almost as bad as the Cass.
About 11 years ago we were on Vancover Island and found this cidery. They had this sweet apple cider that was almost like mead.
Also the winer in my home town makes a wine that is only half fermented, again very sweet and a person won't notice if they drink a jug, they sell it by the gallon, until they stand up.

Hi guys
Long time no see. Now what did I used to be known as... the guy from England who shoots deer.
Been off and on, doing other stuff.
I found this thread and couldn't help but add to it - Cider! We make our own over here. The apples go through a scratter and then they get pressed with straw. Ferment it for a week and then into 5 gallon barrels until may. Works out at about 7% but it's a different kind of booze - drink too much and you get the shakes. Very addictive.
Good to see you all!
Keep at it

For me it's water. You know what I'm talking about Bushy. It's that stuff that the cows suck up out of those tin bath tubs out on the range.
I used to be a heavy drinker but one day realized I'd rather be huntin' than settin' back TALKING about huntin' with the drinkers.
Just me I guess.
I'm just sayin.
