After July 1st, when the rivers here open for fishing, my buddies and I have been drifting local rivers in our pontoon boats fly fishing for Rainbow trout, Bull trout and Rocky Mountain Whitefish. The two rivers have been the Quesnel River and the Blackwater. The Q for it's fun white water and the Blackwater for it's amazing dry fly fishing for Rainbows. Mind you, the only place I got into trouble was on the Blackwater, but whats one oar bent like a hockey stick and two bent oar locks between friends?.... :wink:...(I'm the guy in the yellow boat. I sure do love my new pontoon boat... Very Happy )

I've included some pics. The smaller clearer river is the Blackwater. The green much larger river is the Quesnel.

That is some pretty country. It is very brown where i live so green is something special. Smile

I sure miss the fishing, country and water of the western US, but the Smokies has some great whitewater. Went whitewater rafting last weekend. I was in the raft so I didn't get a chance to take pictures, but I have some from a friend. I will post them as soon as they come through.

How many fish did you catch?
