I went to some formal function last night, food sucked, they had a open bar though. Bartenders would only serve at the most 2 oz per glass of any alcohol, BUT they limited us to 4 drinks per order. So 3 drinks = a 6 oz drink when poured into one single glass.
Well I managed to use my debit card properly the first time to buy pizza after leaving the function, and did not feel sick last night just a wee bit tipsy. But you know this is the first time I've woken up with what is described to be a "hang over".

I guess I did since I wasn't all that drunk. I could walk pretty straight and I could use electronics properly, wasn't sick enough to vomit or pass out too.
Hang over is gone by the way. Oddly enough, I only got 3 hours of sleep but I feel well rested.

Ah, the first step on a long long road of "fun". Well done 'Mitri. It ain't easy to win from a night on the Scotch like that.
My first night on Scotch cost me two days of suffering...a day of "mourning" followed by a day of hangover....and I had to wash my mates car to clean up the mess.
Cheers, Vince

Keep away from the cheap stuff & it doesn't hurt at all the next day.
My favourite tipple is Laphroaig Cask Strength - 56% alcohol rather than the standard 43%.
I've converted several friends in NM to the point where I have to bring three bottles every time I visit.

Mike,
Standard here is 40%, still they had Wisers and some scotch not sure what type. First time I had Wisers, it didn't taste too bad.

If you tried to determine whether or not you were walking straight, you WERE NOT.
Same as the drunk that swears he's OK to drive, If he makes an argument, he's illegal.
Don't fall in the trap D.
Stop drinking now.
Send all your excess alcohol to me.
I will ensure it is disposed of properly.
Take your friend's stuff too.
Send it ALL here.
I'm only trying to help......

Joe,
So if you can think enough to realize you may have drank too much your not actually drunk ?? Sounds good.
As for stopping to drink, when you so somewhere with a open bar and you decide to drink Whiskey for the evening, it adds up, as its less liquid per drink then beer hence how I got to so much of it without really realizing it till the end of the night.

Gosh D.
6 oz and you felt it???
For an Iron Ranger, 6 oz isn't even worth talking about.
We put 6 oz in a tea just to add a little bite.
Add a 1 in front of the 6, and then, you would be talking about a Rangers first drink of the night.
I have found that Canadians can't drink near as much as an Iron Range Miner.

Ely,
Actually I had 21.5oz to be more specifically, I had 3 drinks of 6oz apiece, plus a couple of 1oz drinks and a "cheap" double (1.5oz).

Um 'Mitri...was that 21.5 oz of straight spirits or 21.5 oz of mixed drinks?
Damn...21.5 oz of straight spirits would kill me !!
A "shot" over here in Oz is 30ml (1 oz) of straight spirit in a 7 - 10 oz glass, then the mixer is added...so conceivably 21.5 oz of mixed drinks would most likely contain only about 2 - 3 oz of straight spirit. That is just a "throat wetter".

No Vince,
Other then the occasional mixed Orange Juice and Vodka I don't drink mixed drinks. Thats 21.5oz of stright, not on the "rocks" whiskey.

Damn, 'Mitri, you deserve to have a "worse than 10 men" level of hangover after that.
Worst thing about drinkin' that much whisky is that after about the fourth or fifth you wouldn't really be tastin' it all that much....bit of a waste if you are drinkin' GOOD whisky.
