Hey, be kind to the old man.....one of those one cent dates is my birth year. Very Happy

I said they were the oldest in my collection, and I got them in pocket changing meaning they have been around quite abit in their time, didn't say they were dirt old now did I ?? Laughing

I have some from Canada (stupid Canadian Pennies even in California they show up) and some from Russia (my Uncle forgot he had them) and one of each kind from when I was in South Korea. I think I also have some Yen. I think it'll be good for teaching.

rdncktink,
This link at the US Mint website may have some information you can use when teaching.
www.usmint.gov/kids/
You will find that the 50 State Quarter Program and the Presidential Dollar Program are worthwhile classroom topics. The mint has some download material that you can pass out to students.
www.usmint.gov/kids/te...wnload.cfm
How many graduates today can name all of the States let alone nameing the Presidents in the order that they served.

Updated, my coin collection has grown cause I found my dads old coin collection in Greece and asked for a few.

Countries in the collection (by order from front to back of the coin book & the currency value I list is the one on the coin not total that I got most I just got one coin of):

Canada (many), East Caribbean States (2x 10 cents), England (50 New Pence, 2x 1 penny and 2 New Pence), United States (many), Netherlands (1 Gulden), Germany (1950 Pfennig & 2 Marks), Finland (10 Pinnia), USSR (1 Ruble), France (2x 1 Franc, 2x 1/2 Franc, 2x 10 centimes, 20 centimes), French Polynesia (10 Franc), Portugal (5$00), Mexico (100 Pesos), Panama (a half dollar), Trinidad and Tobago (1 Cent), Peru (25 Centavos), Jamaica (10 Cents), Greece (2 Drachma's), Japan (100 yen), and finally Italy (.5 Lyra).

Coins of interest:
2x 1944 and 2x 1945 Canadian "Victory" nickels.
Saskatchewan Quarter (recent).
1604-2004 Canadian French Colonization Quarter.
1957 Canadian 50 Cent Silver Coin.
2x 1867-1982 Constitution Dollars.
2x 1534-1984 Jacques Cartier Dollars.
1920 & 1944 American Mercury Dimes.
2x Virginia Quarter plus one South Carolina, and one Oregon.
4x 1979 American Dollar Coins.
One 1933, Two 1944, One 1946 American Wheat Back Pennies
One 1943 American Wheat Back Penny made of Steel I think.

Most common coin in my coin collection must be simply Canadian Quarters, they made a bunch of neat ones the last few years so I collected them into my pocket slowly.

Chris
I was President of the Nebraska Numismatic Association for a couple of years and have had interest in collecting coins since I was about 7 years old. What I am getting at is I have a friend who runs a shop and might be interested in your deal. Please send him an email, and reference my name, Cliff Reed in Brady, Ne., and shoot your deal to him. That is all I can do for you at this time.
