This is a pic of a buddy and his Iowa Buck he shot in Oct. Bow season..
I'm trying to kiss up to him to take me next year. They hunt private land no guide. After he shot this one he saw a Big 12 point that would have made the book. Always works that way..LOL

Very nice animal. Lots of BBQs in that fella. Tell your mate, "Well done".

Cheers, Vince

thank you Glockman but Ive been pulling a bow since it was taller than me.
daddy taught me well. and where i live here in montana i just have to cable the dogs up, put out a little sweet hay and wait about 30 minutes and i can get it one from my porch. no need to go trudging about when the skinning shed is just over there.
l was given a compound bow ...my first and I am learning how to use it since i use a "real" bow..45#recurve seneca and bear
i understand that the pulleys are for holding it back longer but it just seems like a wimpy way in my head.
takes away from the skill
also wanting a crossbow soon to play with.

now being a woman i do have the option to change my mind after further knowledge.
I am looking forward to be showing someone myself how to bow hunt even though he favors his rifle.

That's great that you've been shooting most of your life, your daddy taught you right. Montana is one of a few north west states I've yet to hunt, Iowa is next on my list.. Take care.

daddy wasnt a hunter and growing up in oklahoma in an indian household it was like dancing a subject that he taught me.
to hit targets well. and how to protect myself
this past year was my first hunting experience. and gearing up for this year to do both bow & rifle
heard a guy at the servo say he got a bull elk that had 34 points. of course all of us look torwards his truck and sure enough it filled the back and there were 34 points.
thanks
regards
