It's only a photogrophy trick. It's hanging by the hind leg and he's standing about 5 feet behind it.

Yup, a 93# beaver is a whole lot-a beaver no doubt. Just saying that they took the pic with him standing behind it making it look even bigger.

Russian scientists found pre-historic beaver skeletons in caves in Alaska just around the turn of the 20th century that were reported to be the size of baby elephants. there's Indian legends that the beaver used to be a giant animal.

That thing looks like it could make a beaver fur coat all by itself (or like Buhy alluded to, in his case a hat)

Quote::
he Giant Beaver (Castoroides ohioensis) was a huge species of rodent, with a length up to 2.5 m (8.2 feet) and an estimated weight of 60-100 kg (130-220 lbs), although some estimates have ranged as high as 220 kg (485 lbs).

It lived in North America during the Pleistocene epoch, and went extinct at the end of the last Ice Age, 10,000 years ago. The arrival of humans in the Americas is thought to be a factor in its extinction.

Big beavers. Shocked

Dimitri

'Mitri, Its not the critters that make themselves easy prey....its a mixture of traits within the genus Homo Sapiens....the ability to:

1. out think an animal,
2. anticipate and remember animal habits, and
3. GREED, for what they can make outa the animals carcass.

And here I was thinkin'...."Hey cool 'Mitri's back....what pressies did he bring back for us?" Sad
