Mebbe I missed it somewhere here but I'm wondering why there's no mention of what OSHA (Occupational Health and Safety Admin.) tried to do to our 2nd Amendment Rights as Free Americans...??
Not aware?
Didn't bother anyone?
Mid June OSHA announced a proposed rule change that would have effectively shut down the small arms ammo and reloading component industry in the U.S.
The NRA-ILA didn't know a thing about it and didn't respond until the 3rd of July....
By then a HUGE grass roots campaign had been launched by gun owners via the internet, mail and telephone.
Public comment to the proposal was supposed to end on the 12th of July but we got it extended until the 10th of September......
Due to the sheer volume of opposition to this beaucratic proposal to reclassify small arms ammo, smokeless pwoder and primers as High Explosives.....OSHA has decided to stop, back up and rewrite the proposal, latest news as of yesterday......
Keep on the look out for the new rewrite as the driving force behind this backdoor attack on the 2nd likely was noone other than Hilary Clinton, Barak Obama and Co.,......who all sit on the US Senate OSHA oversight comittee....
Keep your guard up folks, that rule change could have led to the failure of the industry due to the cost prohibitve requirements of compliance with OSHA and shut down our Sport.....
Back door Gun Ban.......
Vigilance friends....................

This issue certainly caused a lot of firearm owners to read the preamble to the Declaration of Independence carefully. It raises issues that should be resolved before situations arise.
At what point is disobedience to the law justifiable? At what point would you choose to invoke action against tyranny?
Another good read --- "Unintended Consequences" by John Ross. Now, here was a guy that made a decision.

Well, some people say it's unpatriotic to question your government, I say it's unpatriotic to not question your government....

Vint....I agree, but just to play the devil's advocate, it becomes a slippery slope when your "just grievance" to me is "just a complaint" and vice versa...

I went to college...briefly, LOL, but I digress. Start over, I went to college with this French Canadian guy and we were pretty good friends for awhile. He openly stated to anyone who wanted to listen (most didn't) that he believed in the separation of Quebec from the rest of Canada. Since I was a bit of a proponent of the separation of the rest of Canada from Quebec in those days, I listened. So what Tracker? blah blah blah. He used to quote this statement quite often, about liberty...."Your rights begin exactly where my rights end."
That sounds great and profound at first, but on closer examination, IMHO, of course, is only partly true, but it does provide some food for thought.

Well, the one quote I tend to agree with I think the most, I learned from Keetowah, Will Rogers apparently once said we should be thankful that we don't get all the government we're paying for. I definitely believe that ...probably 99% of the time, less government is better.
