An old adage in Australia Bushy...Australia was raised on the sheep's back. Australia supplies about 25% of the world's wool and this is worth over AUD$2 billion per annum.
When the First Fleet landed on the shores of Australia in 1788. In 1796, John Macarthur bought his first merino sheep from a flock of Spanish merino sheep reared in South Africa.
To this day this flock apparently still carries the pure bloodline...it has never been 'diluted' by additions.
(As an aside, my first Infantry Battalion had one of the rams from this flock as a mascot and he was a magnificent animal. The Battalion had to sign a contract stating that he would never be bred with any sheep other than ewes from the parent flock.)
Having said that, it's good to see my namesake is holding his own in the breeding stakes and looking after the 'ladies'...pretty well apparently.

Elvis,
Did you mean SHEmales or females?
If you really meant shemales - is that common with goats?

Also cuts down on fly blown nether regions.
Assuming they have flys in Unzud.
Must get over there one day, missed out on a maritime exercise trip back in 1980 by removing part of a finger a few days before it started.
Never got around to it.

well guys V.T.M. decided to be a right pain in the behind today...we were rounding him up to put him back "in with the ladies" but he had other ideas and led the 4 young weathers with him out through fence into neighbors plantation.......(very risky move as 6 ewes did similar thing last friday and I SHOT THE LOT)..... well young Nathan and I did some crafty rounding up and I caught the big hua,got Nathans girlfriend to hang on to him,and then pushed the 4 young weathers back where they supposed to be.
we put V.T.M. in the trailer and drove him up road to his "girly friends" paddock and released him out of the trailer.boy did he leap in the air and bolt..then came to screaming holt...ah what am I doing here???? where the heck am I??? ok off this way..and away he ran again.
we shut trailer and drove out and along road to look down on the 6 ewes and buggamesideways there was a big horny brown ram with them already..and the randy hua was straight on the job/ewes no mucking around and fancy meals for him just hello, you smell nice woohoo yabbadabbadoo ,making mutton
