Well I'm not THAT old!! Actually if you want to know (and I'm sure you do) my birthday is coming up in August and i'll be 58! You guys talking about out-houses and stuff reminds me of the reservation in the 4 corners area of Arizona. Some have no running water, no electricity and dirt floors. They raise sheep, live the old fashioned traditional ways and don't even complain about it. It's the largest Indian reservation in the U.S. it's known as the Navajo Nation. Most beautiful country you'll ever see and the People too. I have pictures of it somewhere, but nothing digital. There are some really remote places there where People have lived forever and once you get there you never wanna leave. Don't know if I'd wanna live there but....
so I could be
your daughter!
so there!
Suz

In 1955 the median household income; $4,421.00 Minimum wage was $.75 a postage stamp $.03 Bread was $.18 and quart of milk $.23 a gallon of gas $.29 and a car was $2,506.00. It was the year of Disney Land, Rosa Parks, Eisenhower, (Nixon was VP), Willie Shoemaker at the Kentucky Derby, Ernest Borgnine won best actor in Marty, William Faulkner-Cat on a hot tin roof, Lee Meriweather was Miss America, and for you Geland it was the year of the sheep. World population was 2.780 billion.
That was printed on a coffee cup someone gave me on my 55th birthday. Don't know how true any of it is but it looks good on a coffee cup. There's a really great web site I just noticed you can go through the months of the year and there's some neat stuff on there.

Suz,
You and my wife are the same age.
Vince,
My wife and I celebrate our anniversary in August too!
She did say I could attend the silhouette match that morning so I will have to do something real nice for her later..... Hmmmm
My wife only ages a day at a time and she is still all I need.

Mine was born in 1954. Yup...I robbed the cradle. What's even worse is that she was my foster daughter when she was 17. She was also my first wife's first cousin. That's right I had two mother-in-laws and they were sisters.
Yup...I fit right in here in the Ozarks. Yes I do.
