My "buddy" is a city boy and a lawyer to boot. He speaks in blocks instead of yards. I can not list all he carries on his person and in that pack. Some of the things he has pulled out of that back pack have just plain scary.

Bushy, don't get rid of the shirt. I'm sure it will come back in style in a decade or two.

I got two or three shirts like that...a little bigger in the gut department (I got big stomach bones)...but apart from that the same.

What a great meadow, I can see that'd be a wonderful stake out. Nice green grass is absent around here right now and the deer don't seem to be around in this dry weather we're having. If I could find a spot like that here right now I'd plop my butt down and play the waiting game.

Don't let the box turtle get such a head start next time. They are a symbol of fertility and longevity in my culture. I gave a turtle fetish to a young lady at work that was trying to have a baby and it worked pretty well for her. She's had two kids now......I wanted to only loan it to her but I think she's pretty attached to it now.

Suz,
I know as much about turtles or tortoise's as I do about Native Americans so bear with me.
How in the world do turtles or tortoise's become a fertility symbol?

Maybe when these Native Americans played rugby or football and they didn't have the proper protection...
I can believe that a shield of a turtle on the right spot could protect their 'fertility symbols' Smile

Well.....of course it's a long story....I'll make it short. Turtle is a symbol of water. Where you find water you find life. To give someone a turtle it symbolizes giving life, and turtles have lay lots of eggs so they are considered fertility symbols. They are also a symbol of long life, so to give one to a newborn or anyone really is a token of a healthy long life. It's all very simple, why didn't you know this? You should listen to your Mother (Earth) she has lots to tell.

Bushy it's interesting you should say the first cup, because medicine is only given from a turtle shell. I suppose it could be used as a protector of the 'fertile parts' symbolically protecting one's fertility (why not?) wouldn't be very comfy tho......
