Well, it turns out the house sold on the first day back on the market.
We asked for $269990 and that was accepted by the buyers untill the inspection. We did give back $5400 toward repairs which is about 1/3 what the repairs will cost but it is all good. We will be moving 300 miles to the new home in Walla Walla (the only place in the US that was so proud of their name they used it twice). I will be within ten miles of my two kids and the grand kids so both my wife and I are happy campers. The new place is smaller but still has three bedrooms and two baths (one in the master suite) and all I need to do is build a couple of garages... the city won't let me build one big one so I will build two smaller ones to fit my shop and three cars in. My wife will turn the front yard into a garden with veggies and flowers mixed together.
I already have plans for my new reloading room - which has been packed up for now. We move on the 5th of August. For now the email will remain the same.

Congrats on your move. Sounds like a good move. I made the same sort of move this February. Took me all of two days to sell my house though. Very Happy

Happy to hear that you got your asking price for your house Paul...and hopefully you got your new place at a good price as well mate.

Being near the grandkids is great...will allow you to do what every grandparent has an obligation to do...spoil their grandkids. Very Happy

good to hear things have gone well for you.
Tip from a "shifty" Kiwi
when you get to the new digs and you are putting the furniture in, if you think your favourite chair should go in spot X cause its the logical place to have it.... dont put it there.... stick it in the most stupid place there is.. that way SWMBO will move it into a better spot... right where you wanted it in the first place.
laugh if you like but trust me it works with all rooms and all bits of furniture.
the lady of the house just has to shift things to suit herself... kind of like refeathering the nest.

Paul must supply the onions, I love Walla Wallas....well you can BBQ them and just make onion samiches too..great with apples and rustic bread. Sounds like a fun move Paul, most of my moves have not been. Good luck with the new re-loading room too and shop!

There will be a house warming party because it will be paid in full! I will own it from the foundation to the rooftop. I also get my taxes based on 40% of the value and that figure is locked in as long as I own it. My taxes will be the same every year no matter what happens with levies and special taxes. Smile

I would like to have you ALL come over - especially the guys from "down under" and Europe but I really doubt anybody would make it - maybe Suz would - she only lives a few hundred miles down I-84 (sort of) Wink
