Radar with the Police Minister Judith "Crusher Collins" and Assistant Commissioner Grant Nichols.

Judith Collins was called "Crusher Collins" because she wanted to crush all cars belonging to 'boy racers" after their second offence.....sounds bloody good to me.

What was the award for? BTW, you look sharp!

Why are you wearing your cover inside and no one else is?

Is the guy on right the big boss (he has more do-dads on his collar and epilets)? Plus he has more medals than anyone else in the picture.

SJ: here they have a joke about the time when we still had customs: somebody was asking about the meaning of these 'stripes' on their uniform and the answer was: the ones with 1 stripe can write OR read, the ones with 2 stripes can write AND read, the ones with 3 stripes know who can write or read...

Sorry guys I was on another planet last night when i posted this....had to get Vince to assist.
That award is my Long Service Good Conduct Medal plus bar. I have been a serving member of the NZ Police for 21 years, actually going up 22 years....my doesn't time fly.
In NZ we get our LSGC at 14 years then for every 7 years after that you get a bar and a star.
The lady was our Police Minister Rt Honorable Judith Collins - she is a great politician and fully supported the Police....we have just had a general election and in the shakeup she has been given a new portfolio.
The other bloke is Assistant Commissioner Grant Nichols, he's been there and done that and too is a good person to have at the helm
