Thanks everybody...yep...it's a good feeling getting another grandchild. We will be having a lot of hands on with this little one too...when my daughter goes back to work we will be babysitting for a couple of days a week.
A Great Grand Pappy soon...that's on the cards too...my eldest grandson is 15 and he has already been caught "with" his girlfriend once.
Stovey, the name has Irish "connections", although my daughter first heard it when a young lass named Macushla joined her Girl Guide unit. She has loved it ever since and always said she would name her daughter the same.
"Macushla is an Irish song copyrighted circa 1910 with music by Dermot MacMurrough and lyrics by Josephine V. Rowe. The title is a transliteration of the Irish mo chuisle meaning "my pulse" as used in the phrase a chuisle mo chroĆ (pulse of my heart) meaning "darling" or "sweetheart".
No pics with me yet...I had to wait until I get the Whooping Cough vaccination before touching her...had that now so pics tomorrow I reckon. But here's one to show her off.
Cheers, Vince

Whooping cough jab eh.
I knew that bastard of a disease was making a comeback, but I didnt know someone at our age could be effected or a carrier.
Is that going to be a standard practice from now on? jab for WC before you come in contact with a new born?

It appears so mate. Didn't really know about myself until my daughter told me...she was told at her pre-natal classes by the Midwife.
Best part about it is the jab is free (Govt funded) for some people, depending on the situation.

Vince,
Keep after those kids of yours... I have eleven grand kids at last count and the oldest is nearly out of high school. Not old yet - just keep gettin' older.
