Hey Vince, yup for my .357 I use 18.5grs of H4227 behind a hornady 125gr xtp bullet good for 1725fps and accuracy is great with that load. When I use hornady 158gr xtp I also use H4227 with 15grs which is good for 1425fps and accuracy is also great with this load. I've also used Lil'Gun with the 158gr xtp with excellent results.

From memory...pretty much the loads I used mate. This powder is also a damn fine small rifle calibre powder. No two ways about it...ADI have developed some very versatile powders.
Cheers, Vince

Field test today were way better despite the rain showers and temp at 54F. As I said earlier, I reduced the charge in the .44 SRH 9 1/2" to 19grs of alliant 300mp with 300gr noslers oal 1.665"
and after 40 rounds had an average of 1275fps with chrono at 10' feet from muzzle. The loads were a pleasure to shoot and no problems at all with these.
Also loaded up 20 rounds 240gr hornady xtp with with 23grs alliant 300mp oal 1.575 ̋
for an average velocity of 1400fps. These loads were great to shoot and had no problems at all.
All loads using cci lp primers with mild crimp. I think I'm settled on these 2 loads and now will pursue further for accuracy and also work on the 200gr xtp. 2 1/2" inch five shot groups with scope and bench rest with 2 sandbags at 75yards for the 240gr xtp and the 300gr were just over 3" at 75 yards.
Now tumbling the empty cases and getting ready for next weekend.
