First deer

My granddaughter got her first deer today! Using a crossbow at 25 yards, while hunting with her other grandfather.

Please give some specs about the crossbow and the arrow(-point) used.

Aloysius, I'm getting the info on the crossbow, etc. They live about 1.5 hours from here, up in the mountains.

Vince, her other grandfather is a far more experienced hunter than I am and I know she's been helping him.

Here she is last year helping my other son-in-law and his father with the buck S-i-L shot while we were there. She is NOT afraid to get her hands dirty!

That’s great Punkin. As Slim said, success in improving the numbers of future hunters.

As an aside Punkin, how old is your granddaughter? She looks quite young (preteen) in the first pic, but looks older (early teens) in the second one. Whichever way, it’s fantastic that she is involved in the entire process, from go to whoa mate.

Your granddaughter is doing fantastic mate. Out here, 11 is the youngest age, by law, a child can shoot.
