58", #45, light. Small. Nice thick handle. Made in Italy. $255.00

Gave up on the ChiCom bows. They all broke or cracked and got sent back for refunds or went into the fire pit. They shot nice but...dang.

This is a simliar pattern to a Sage by Samick....or Edge as it's known now, by Korean Bow. Those are good quality bows and a bargain. But the handles are teeny. Too small to even try and tape up.

So- giving Ragim a shot. Like what I see so far.

Hah! From muckin' out your horses stalls!

My hands are actually 8.25" around the knuckles...a Medium.

Asian made bows usually have girly sized grip areas. If the grip is not contoured you can tape them up some to fill it in a little. If they are deeply sculpted, forget it.

This one is nice. It's got a decent sized grip. I like it.

Short term report:

Not a well known brand here StateSide.

But, I am SUPER impressed with this brand, and the bow.

I have a matching FOX Longbow coming from Ragim, in Italy as well. A bookend bow, same lay-up, but as a longbow

These things are drop-dead gorgeous. Excellent craftsmanship and talk about a bargain. Here in the States we have only a couple of of-the-shelf American companies, one is Bear, and their stuff is WAY over-priced. The next best bet is Korea Bow made items (sold as Samick, Old Bow, et. al.)- a lil heavy, but super solid and super well made and a bargain. The ChiCom stuff is well...ya know. It's everywhere and a crapshoot.

Custom bows are simply out of my price range.

Ragim's (pro: RAH-jim) are not. This is my new Traditional Brand. Amazing product, amazing value. All the rest are gone, sold or returned for refunds due to defects/failures. This brand is all I hunt/shoot with now.

I set this #45, 58" recurve up with a 60X Dacron 14st endless-loop string, muskrat string dampers, an old school 50's style leather plate and a bear hair rug rest, clipped calf hair groove dampers and a slip-on rubber grip for purchase. It weighs zilch. No shock and no slap. If I do may part, Robin Hood's are not a problem. It's quick and deadly.

My tune up is 7 3/8" brace, 29.5" 500 spine Easton XX75 GameGetter with a 125-145gr point and a Gold Tip GT nock very lightly tuned.

Amazing shooter. Works as good as it looks.

Good report Stovey...not that I understood half of it Embarassed

It’s good to hear a feel good story like this mate, one where you have found a great product and are obviously extremely happy with it. I can’t wait to hear of your hunting exploits with your new ‘best friend’.

Howdy Hi Stovey .... I see you've been a traditionalist of late with your hammers and sticks !!!

Hi Buddy!!!!!!!!!

Yup!

Still got EVERYTHING else....and using it on occasion.

But since June, I've really been getting back into Trad. Big time! Forgot how neat it was!
