I would like to know why the mainstream media has not picked up any of this new stonewalling against congress by the doj, batf, and the attorney general. After reading a few articles it appears there is much more going on that congress doesn't even know about.

Well D, to be honest about it, I never heard of this till I read it in the guardian paper online till yesterday. And yup, I do get the nations newspaper and do watch CNN, and the paper I looked at was dated 4/03/2011, so it must still be news today.

I think the British membership would take offense perhaps, but the Guardian is somewhat like our Toronto Sun here. They are a newspaper only by name. Both seem to try to polarize their readership more often then not.

Big thing with articles like this bank however, is they get passed aside due to the fact that other then the bank's shareholders no one really cares, as long as they got fined, its case closed legally. And to be fair this bank has had many issues with the way they handle money never mind just drug money.

By the way I didn't mention it, but the USBP Officer when I went to the US still had a real pistol attached to his belt.

Update to Project Gunrunner:

The coverup involves three law enforcement agencies: the ATF, FBI and the DEA.

According to sources, unbeknown to the ATF, the target of their operation was a FBI confidential informant, a fact that only became known to them in April of this year after an 18-month investigation that cost millions of dollars of tax dollars.

"They were going after someone they could never have," a source in Washington told Fox News. "The Mr. Big they wanted was using government money to buy guns that went to the cartels. The FBI knew it and didn't tell them."

The confidential informant is a former high-level drug dealer who had been deported by the DEA. The FBI, however, recruited him as a counter-terrorism informant, providing information on potential dirty bombs or Al Qaeda suspects moving through the border region.
