Best thing about Eastern Oregon was the lack of Humidity, the high 90s*F/30s*C felt alright with the lack of Humidity. Here its always humid unless its way below freezing.

Vince,
I just started a new job and have not had time to check the boards!! Glad to see you made it throught a tough one. I agree with phill21, no matter where I have been in the world when disaster strikes good people over come the striff. I know it the especially true in Ausieland.
God bless and let us know if there is anything we can help with.

Thanks for the kind words Phill and Dusty.
You are totally correct about good people being there for others in times of trouble, adversity and strife...and maybe I'm a little biased, but I think the aussies leave absolutely nothing to be desired in that department. My Dad always said to me, "Always return good for evil"...and that also includes doing others a good turn. I could never live with myself if I saw someone in any sort of trouble and didn't offer them assistance.
Those of us that have spent time in the Defence Force will understand it when I say...friends and mates are an extension of your family, and if you can't do them a favour what good are you.
Once again, to everyone here, thank you for your thoughts and kind words, you have no idea how much they mean to me.
Cheers, Vince

Yep...it's a bit damp underfoot in some places mate. Luckily things have settled down fairly well where I am...although if the weather experts are to be believed, there is more coming.

A boat? Oh-oh. Vince was in the Australian Army (a ground pounder). He won't have the slightest idea how to row or paddle a boat...
Not to mention which end is the bow and stern...Then you have port and starboard just to confuse him farther... |
Aww...c'mon Bushy...I unerstan' boats...you push them into the water, grab hold of the back bit on the blunt end, then kick ya legs like buggery... pushes the boat through the water so you can move all ya beer from one place to another in one go.
I am not "full bottle" on all these nautical terms...bit confusing...
"bow" is what ya do when ya meet the Queen,
"stern" is the look ya missus gives ya when ya come home as "crissed as a picket",
"starboard" is where ya kids keep their award stars from school, and as metz says,
"Port" is a damn fine fortified wine.
Boats have got a pointy end, a blunt end, a side to fish over and a side to chunder or pee over...the "sides" change status as necessary.
Cheers, Vince
