|
I didn't realise just how bad my day had been, well the last couple of days actually, until my daughter asked me "How was your day?" I thought about it for a second or so and could only reply "bloody terrible, but thanks for asking".
Patience my butt...I gotta go kill something.
The last three times my mate and I have made plans to go hunting, one thing or another has stopped it. The mate's wedding anniversary, Mothers' Day then last weekend rain. Normally rain doesn't stop me, but this time is was VERY cold in the area we hunt and VERY cold + rain = sleet. Not even remotely comfortable.
Oh well...maybe I need to have a whisky or three and try to relax.
Cheers, Vince

What a "cupcake" Vince.
A little sleet?
A little rain?
Sounds like good Duck Weather to me.

Thanks Joe. The whiskies certainly helped mate, although maybe I need to do as 'Mitri does...go and clean my rifles again...just so I can fondle them a little.

Hey mate, ya gotta remember that I live in a sub-tropical area. Its 11pm , and the first week of Winter and I am sitting here in just a pair of shorts.
I really enjoy snow, but its been about 20 years since I last saw some. Sleet is just plain nasty. Too wet to be comfortable and too cold to even sit around the fire and drink Port. Rain is not a problem, although where we camp got a heap and we wouldn't have been able to get in there because the creek was up...big time.

I hear ya buddy, although I will never complain about rain after the drought we have just been through. We are still below 40% in our dams.
Cheers, Vince
