Howdy Mike. A Traditions Pursuit pro Inline, 50 cal, Simmons 3-9 x 40 scope, 110 grains of 777, Remington Cleanbore 209 Muzzleloading Primers, ( There not quite as hot as the standard 209 primer and doesen't leave the powder ring in the barrel, the bullet seats easier), and I recently went back to 245gr Power Belts ( Aero Tips) I had issues with them in my old Muzzleloader and might not have gave them a fair shake in the past Embarassed in this one. So I tried them again and with the load and componets above there not shooting to bad and they do a great job on the animal. Hit this buck in the shoulder and he dropped in his tracks Very Happy I can't wait to get out again Very Happy .

Joe

No Flyers. It's shooting about 3 " groups at 100yds. My shot's around here where I muzzleload hunt are 99% of the time less than that so this is acceptable to me.

Thanks for the feed back!! I think you have the same kind of farm country that I hunt, so that data sounds reeal good!! I would say that any shot over 100 yd is a long one, around here!

Very nice Joe. Seems that you've had yourself a pretty good week mate. Plenty of meat in the freezer and two good days of hunting. Can't ask for much more than that mate.

The serious hunter look is in there mate.....I just imagine that is a little masked by your efforts not to smile and look as happy as a pig in sh1t.

Thanks for the info Joe! I'm using 100 grains of 777 and Powerbelts in my .50 Encore also. I have gotten 3 shot groups just around 1.5" at 100 yds. Using a Bushnell Elite 1.5 to 4.5X scope. So far I've only taken one doe with it (a couple years ago), at 12 yards. Poor shot on my part, bullet passed through neck, back through the ribs, through the guts and lodged in the opposite hip. Impressive performance from the bullet though!
