My next new rifle will probably be a heavy barreled one in .204. I have it's big brother, the .222Rem. Mag. with which I'm quite pleased. I understand the .204 is even better. I had been thinking of a .22Hornet in a CZ rifle, but the Hornet can be temperamental in the best of times so I'll likely pass on that one. Best wishes.

calsibly, I have a 22 Hornet in the Ruger 7722HV, It shoots like a dream and is, as or more accurate as my bigger center fire varmint rifles, and its tiny powder appetite makes reloading for it very economical. I dont find it Tempermental at all! And to make it better, find a gunsmith with a 22KHornet reamer and your brass trimming chores all but disapear. plus you get a few more FPS out of the little squirt!:)

I was in the safe earlier & the wife saw there wasn't anymore room in it. I told her I was making room for my next purchase. She said I had all the room I needed. Said I'd have to sell one before I can have aother. Why don't women understand? I just have to have one more!!!

say the same to her about her shoes-----
Mine counters-- with shoes are only $200 your rifles are $1000+
my response--Your shoes only last one"season" 6 months tops- I have rifles in there that I had before you ( 13 years) came along.
She counter- I wouldn't mind you having so many if you actually used them
My response- I don't get a chance to use them because you wont let me go away hunting anymore (2 kids under 2 years)
Her- fine go then-
Ca ching spotlighting trip on this weekend- yipee

I just picked up Sako 461 17 rem for almost no $$
and a Tikka 695 in 6.5x55 in the last couple of months.
