The yard is exactly 3.36" shorter than a metre. Soooo, 100 metres is actually 109.333 yards, or 100 yards is 90.667 metres.

all of you hard to please huas....... sure he was only ever going to need to hit the backing plate and let fragments do the rest, but it wasn't bad shooting in my book to even manage to hit that.

to hit a fly is not so difficult. To do this with a handgun makes it more difficult. But when you really want to amaze someone, don't kill the fly, just castrate it...

At first I thought Pumpkin was holding a turtle shell and I thought he was pretty proud of his stalking skills....but it's a stick...first fishing outing? You told me the story once but I can't remember

Suz, I was aiming at a deer about 60 yards away and failed to notice that little tree about 40 yards away... That little piece to the right is the remains of the bullet. I found that in the ground about 15-20 feet from where the deer had been standing.

Ah yes....and it's a good idea too. I don't have remnants of the last deer I missed, but what the heck a trophy for it would be nice! I've only missed once so there wouldn't be a bunch of junk hangin on the wall, just one obvious but strange one to be quizzically hanging there for everyone to question. I like the idea....maybe just a spent cartridge...a broken fingernail...or a math equation to represent my failure to calculate distance. Still don't know why I missed tho.
