I'm not worried yet.
I want to see what happens when they surprise an armed civilian thinking he is part of the show and he returns fire with live ammo!
It is stupid to put good soldiers in harms way just to get the public used to a military presence.

We've gone this long without "a military presence". Why do we need it now?

The "why" is what concerns me. They are supposed to be practicing to suppress civilian unrest in areas they may be deployed, but it seems more like they're practicing to do it here. I've seen photos of trainload after trainload of military equipment heading towards Texas, UN troop movements in the area and even two pilots from Turkey someone came across in a store. I don't want to be fitted for a tin foil hat, but all of this sounds very strange. Couple that with the fact that I don't trust Obama. I haven't seen a military buildup like this since the invasion of Iraq.

Well, when thinking about cowboys and cowgirls, we in the rest of the world normally think about Texas. So when you should need support in the future... I'll oil my saddle...

I just keep in mind that the people with guns in the USA make a larger force than the top three military forces in the world combined. Although I doubt that all of them will fight an invading force if the rest fight using guerilla tactics we can beat any force in the world.
That is why the feds keep trying to reduce our second amendment protected rights. If we hit from concealment and run to fight again, removing those in command first then no military force will stand up to us.
I hope it never comes to that.

Posse Comitatus.
I don't like it and think the Fed is up to no good.

There are lots of rumors going around and among the rumors are a few conspiracy theories but I truly believe these exercises are the feds way of acclimating the general public to having troops in the streets and getting the troops used to being there.
I can't fault the soldiers but I do put the responsibility on those who dreamed this up and those placing the orders on the troops.
I agree with Lester - the feds are up to no good!

Along with the fact that the military top brass ranks have been purged by Obama. I believe Obama wants the top brass loyal to him as CIC and not to the constitution. Anyone that was thought might refuse an order based on it's constitutionality was canned.
"For at least two years, top military brass have been giving litmus tests to officers, from generals down to sergeants, asking them if they will disarm or even fire on U.S. citizens."

The simple fact that people are concerned shows how much faith the country has in "the big uh-O".

If someone came out with this stuff years ago I would have thought them crazy. The fact that we consider the possibility tells a lot about our current faith in government. With all the shenanigans this administration has pulled everything is now on the table for serious discussion.

Some of the training involves controlling detainees. Is there a reason why the mock detainees are yelling about being constitutionalists and sovereign citizens, or are yelling not to take their guns? What are these soldiers being told, and what are they being trained for that they feel these things are the proper things to say when training? Why train soldiers as if American citizens who believe that the constitution is the law of the land and gun ownership is their God-given right are the enemies of the state? On another note, why are they using red states as the hostile, rebellious territory and why direct your spec-ops to attempt to blend in with Americans in American cities and tell the public this is to help them move around in Syria or Iran! The cultures, city layouts and terrain are not the same, and we all know that
