This is unbelieveable. Why would anyone want to live in DC or VA. Also, another case of excessive use of forse though no bullets were fired this time.

There has to be more to this story than what is being told. I find it hard to believe that the Police would target this guy just out of the blue. They must have had reasonable grounds to visit him the first time and good reason to visit the second time.

I heard that one on the radio and they said his wife (ex-wife) turned him in. Does sound a bit odd, but when ya got a burr under the saddle......interesting also the DC police went to his sister's house in Virginia she wouldn't let them in the house and the Arlington Virginia police served her with a criminal subpoena (sumptins goin on there too). There's more to the story all right.

Just found this;
Police based their search on a charge made by Mr. Witaschek’s estranged wife, who had earlier convinced a court clerk to issue a temporary restraining order against her husband for threatening her with a gun, although a judge later found the charge to be without merit.

30+ police fully armed in tactical gear, blocking off roads in a neighborhood, handcuffing, pointing assult weapons at your head, breaking down doors, pulling people naked from the shower - sorry, that's excessive force. In fact, that's Gestapo tactics of a thug state. And all for a piece of spent brass and a shotgun shell. And the taxpayers will pick up the tab for repairing the damages and lawsuit.

I read this story from the wash times and ex wife reported him but got no satisfaction the 1st time around. And your right Slim, this will keep happening until the swat, cops start getting shot when breaking into a house.

Hope this guy fires off a massive lawsuit against DC and Virgina and Irvin Nathan!!

"just doin' my job" or "just followin' orders" - that's the attitude that they have when going up against these "criminals".
We know he's a criminal because his ex-wife said so. after all they did find a loaded shell - he was probably going to use it in his non-existent 30 round magazine fed shotgun.

I still thing shutting down portions of the federal government is a great idea.
