Appearing on a Chicago Sunday morning talk show, superintendent Garry McCarthy expressed his conviction that firearm owners who lobby their elected representatives or who donate money to political campaigns are engaged in corruption that endangers public safety. McCarthy went on to express his belief that judges and legislators should rely on public opinion polls when interpreting our Constitution.

WOW, WOW, WOW! I'm glad I life as far away from ORD as I can. His city bans guns but has the worse homicide rate in the US. Yep, gun laws are the solution!

All the more reason to stand for improved treatment of the mentally ill of which I tend to think he may damned well qualify for immeadiate help !

The fat Police Officer looks disgusting and is a disgrace to the uniform. He should never be allowed to be seen in public in uniform. At least his partner wouldn't have any problems keeping up with him in a chase...I doubt that this slob would be able to run outa sight on a dark night.

I believe that Police Chiefs are political appointees, while our Sheriffs are elected officials. That may be the reason that we see so many Police Chiefs that are anti-gun while many Sheriffs are pro-gun. This guy answers to and gets his marching orders from Mayor Rahm Emanuel. Obama's chosen successor and a real POS!

Surely with his past indiscretions he would be a prime candidate for dismissal. Politicians never cease to amaze me with their stupidity and selfishness.
