Ok this guy buys a knife and just goes berserk, stabbing a couple of people.
A bystander with CCW pull out his gun and subdued the moron before he could harm any other..

There are many more of similar stories, WHY cannot the antis look at this and WAKE UP!!

Gelan, after 30+ years of trying to discuss this with anti-gunners I believe that there are three basic types: 1 - those who are simply ignorant of the facts, 2 - those who refuse to believe the facts because of their "feelings", 3 - those who ignore the facts to further their quest for power.

Generally those who are simply ignorant can be brought around by calmly educating them. The "feelers" are hopeless, living in some fantasy world and a waste of time to talk to. The "power grabbers" need to be publicly confronted and exposed.

There are already too many gun laws. It may be a blow to their ego's, but legislators can't prevent bad things from happening and the more they try, the more they usurp our rights and freedom. We used to be a country of rights, now we are a country of laws and restrictions.

Here is the only gun law that should pass. First, the politicians need to ensure that murderers and insane people will never commit random acts of violence on fellow citizens.

Since that is impossible ..... (although I am sure Congress and many opportunists in the very left leaning side of the Democratic Party will grandstand whenever possible) .... the only gun law should follow this simple logic.

Make sure good people have more fire power than the murders and crazy people. I only wish one person in the front row could have stopped that madman before he committed this terrible act. Support the 2nd Amendment that allows individuals the right and duty to protect their families, friends and fellow law abiding citizens.

Good to see that there are some 'good samaritans' that know what they're doing. He didn't over react just controlled the scene until the authorities got there - good work young man!

The ONLY new gun law I would support is to make a gun safety class mandatory for anyone to graduate from High School

I could go for something like that. However I would be completely opposed to making it mandatory for getting a gun.

That OK mike we have it here as a prerequisite to get a firearm.
The crims don't bother, and we wouldn't want to teach them to shoot accurately or safely anyway. With any luck 1/2 will do themselves or their mates a serious injury.

I agree with mandatory marksmanship. My father insisted I learn and taught me, my scout troop pushed the merit badge for same. Regardless if one has a FA in the home or not, one's son's, and daughters, should know how to safely handle them and effectively use them. There's really no good or logical reason for that not to be. And there's ZERO reason or logic for a young man not knowing how to safely handle and use a small caliber rifle by the age of 15- at all! They should learn this before driving and leaving the house to go out on their own- some of of still move out before 42 ya know, an act all too rare today.

I think the ratio of lives saved/crimes stopped by the public vs. LEO is something on the order of 15/1...or higher. MILLIONS of lives are saved and crimes stopped by the GP, each year, but- Pelosi and Billary will never tell ya that....guess they aint got the message most the time LEO shows AFTER it all went down, an innocent is laid out and the perp is long gone.

STUPID LIBERALS!!!

The problem with making a course mandatory for GETTING a gun is that the govt is in control of how hard the course is, etc. so they are effectively in control of who THEY want to be armed. Again, I'd have no problem with a mandatory gun safety course in school, just not as a prerequisite for firearms ownership. And I fully agree that everyone should take a safety course.

My kids knew how to check a gun to see if it was loaded and how to clear the gun before the had the muscle to pull a trigger. They knew all the guns in the house were loaded and they knew that if they wanted to handle one all they had to do was ask.
I would drop anything I was doing and go through it with them. At our house guns were as common as a vase or glass of milk. Most of the time it was like any other piece of furniture - they didn't notice - there was no fascination in a gun. When they were strong enough to pull the trigger we practiced breathing and sight alignment. By the time they were old enough to fire at the range they were old hands at it. My daughter could shoot a pistol as well as most guys at the range and my son was as good with a rifle as I was.

I found out later that my daughter was right-handed and left eyed - had to teach her to shoot a rifle left handed - there was a big improvement right away. She still shoots the pistols right handed and left eyed.

I don't think I want some know-nothing teacher teaching my kids how to handle a gun. They had to take the hunter safety course to get a license at 16 and that was a joke. They didn't learn anything that hadn't already been taught at home.

I stand by what I said. An NRA certified instructor is great way to go if the parent wont do it...Why?

I agree on know-nothing teachers. Out here, the Ca Teachers Association/Unions (liberal queen-bee think tank head quarters) runs the state. Literally. Our schools are fula predtory pedofile teachers who cannot be fired, be put in jail or othewise. Our kids are being gobbled up and spat out like so much kiddy-porn fodder. Our useless Governor and State Attorney General is in with them as well, in fact, they protect these scum from the law. They are literally untouchable and they know it. They are laughing all the way to the bank knowing no one including the law will do a damn thing or loose their pension.

When I was going to grade school? Teachers was held accountable. By his or her employer and the community- my folks and others? When there was an issue they went to the spot and brother, it got handled.

Now? The Sheeple have been de-clawed, they are literally defenceless and co-dependant. That's exactly how the Libertards in Charge want it. The last thing they want is and educated populus, much less one that can handle a firearm.
