Cool Check out your local Pawn Shops, around here Savage Rifles sit on the shelves for @ 100 - 250 clams, I have picked up my last two for 125 each so I have no complaints. Cool

Joe - save all the argument and uncertainty............... I can sell you a "tactical" (know how much you love that expression) sharp pointy stick for $4 and I'll even throw in a paintjob on it! May not be 'state of the art', but sharp sticks have passed the test of time and have never been known to misfire! Smile
Del.

Howdy. Picked up a Savage 110 in 30-06 this mornin in like new condidion it doesen't look like it's had a box of shells through it Very Happy . Came with bases and rings and a 3-9 simmons for $200.00 Very Happy . I dropped it off at the smith this afternoon He is gonna rechamber it for the 308 Norma Mag and install a muzzle break for $175.00. So $375.00 when it's all said and done, I don't think thats too bad. Now I got to get dies and brass Very Happy . Can't wait to start shootin it.
Joe

Howdy. From what the smith said they use the same bolt head and convert it by opening the bolt face up to except the larger case head.

That will work of course, just surprised he would go to the trouble as Savage bolt heads easily switch and cost less than 20 bucks.Sounds like a nice project, let us know how it shoots.
