Hey guys,

Sorry I have not been on HN for a while, (as if anyone really cared), there are enough opinions and declarations provided by others more knowledgeable than me.

Besides being extremely busy setting up the new homestead (for my wife, and kids), I have been having some medical issues and it looks like I'll need some more surgery, this time on my neck, to reduce the pressure on my nerves, I am game if it will reduce the pain, but the doc's say they aren't sure about that.

Anyway just wanted to let y'all know that I check in as often as possible and appreciate all that is posted.

I would like to spend more time here but can't, maybe after the surgery.

Lester, be carefull. Most of the time when I use my knife on a neck, it's for dinner...

And when it can cheer you up a little: usually the best go first...
so as long as you still know better persons than you...

OK, so I spent several weeks in the hospital and many dollars and then I decided that I did not trust anyone to cut open and fuse my entire neck. Of course, and thank God I found a couple other people who had this done and had a chance to talk to them, they wouldn't do it again either.

So despite the pain and not having full control of my arms and hands, I decided no operation, I will stay as I am and do what I can do, period. I have had too many other operations on my back and know that they never really solve the issue so on my neck I don't think so.

I will get back to ya'll as soon as possible. This is typed in by Dee, my ever lovin' wife, (some of the time). She didn't like that, and claims she loves me more or less all the time. I say that is splitting hairs.

Take it easy Lester, and be well mate. I don't blame you for not letting them cut you...I did the same with my back. As far as I am concerned, cutting leaves scar tissue, and that isn't always a good thing.

Hey Lester! Know how you feel, I have a problem that the insurance won't cover (except for meds) and I can't afford the procedures that the insurance company calls experimental (that's why they won't cover it) and anyway it's a 50/50 proposition whether it'll work or not, so WTF you just have to accept your lot in life I guess, best we can do for ourselves. Getting old hurts when you can't do what you wanna do, when you wanna do and there's nothing you can do about it. Gotta take advantage of the best parts life has to give us and mope through the rest I suppose.

Well I guess you've got a lot to do yet on your place, that'll keep you occupied (one way or the other). Little bits at a time gets it done and gives you pride in accomplishments too. I'm always lookin for some other project to keep myself busy at home and keep outa doin the things I'm not supposed to do. Been looking at building a boat or refurbishing a boat and selling my current boat. So far that's as far as I've gotten. The internet has me spellbound and stymied trying to figure out what I can afford to do and how much work I'm willing to commit to.
Oh well chin up, forge ahead at whatever pace (always wanted to do that in school...) You've got a great partner to help you, hope you get better and stay outa trouble!
