Whirly shotty bore scrubers are cool. Good suggestion, El.

Never had a plastic brush disolve in anything. Diff plastic that wadding I think, that or the cleaner just gets under deposits and slides them out. Bronze goes bye-bye right now in ammonia comapred to nylon. Nylon's darn near indestructible, cept for UV. Least the stuff they sell here.

Stores here stopped carrying Chore-Boy, crack heads used it all up in their crack pipes.

And Mac- I keep picking up them bronze whizkers in my socks, etc...had one get in my bandana and I wiped my face the other day and almost put my eye out. All done with them things...

Everyone is correct...Copper solvents will eat bronze brushes, but no faster them the constant flexing of the bristles during cleaning.

You pick them up in your socks? Good for you. Helps with the house cleaning. And even in a banana. Well, keep the darn banana off the floor.

Hahahaha!

Mornin' bossman!

Been shooting more lead of late too in the revolvers. Delicate balance between complete'ish combustion and leading in super-snubs. Like ta shoot them smokey plinkers. Then a cylinder of copper plated lead, -light-medium speed, ta kinda blow out some of the wax and junk, back-n-forth. Cuts down on clean up time. (dont do this with full-power loads if there's any junk in the tube AT ALL, EVER!- shoot the hot stuff first, then go to lead.)

I'm in the camp of "patches only" too for the most part- works ok on rifles and polished bores. I shoot so much diff stuff in my work-a-day pistols they get kinda cruddy some times. Bush is nice to cut down on swabbin time.
