A week from Thursday will be the last Chemo for my Wife Judy.

She is tough as nails and teaching summer school along with doing the community play Fiddler On The Roof.
Works like heck during the day, then rest for a couple of hours at night.
After Chemo, a batch of Radiation, which should do the trick around the end of September. [Just in time for hunting season Very Happy ]
She will come out of this fine, but boy, it's been a long haul.

I finished my chemo and radiation just on 2 yrs ago.
It does knock the crap out of you.
Tell her not to forget to rest (yeah I know EVERYBODYS different) getting over the "cure" is almost as bad as the bloody disease.
My best wishes to her and you, it is a long and difficult road, made easier by loving family.

Thanks Gang.

The tests showed that they got all of the cancer, but like was said, making sure that all of the cancer is gone is almost as bad as having it.
What is kicking her in the rear isn't so much as the chemo, but 24 hours after chemo, she takes a Mylanta shot, which restores white blood cells, so she won't get sick around kids. It goes right to the bone marrow, and then, for about 5 days, every bone in her body hurts.

The only thing that I have kept going thru this is my Thursday night pistol leagues that I run.
That is the great thing about shooting that we all can relate to.
Shooting, and hanging out with fellow shooters with the same interests is our "Prozac".

When Judy is done in mid Sept. we plan on having a big party for all of our friends.
I just might have to get the old pig roaster, and do a pig like in the old days.
My family used to have a big pig roast at the start of hunting season to celebrate. That party was the last our spouses saw of any of us guys for several months Very Happy

Eric

Judy had her last chemo yesterday. Party

Now, in three weeks she starts her radiation.
29 sessions, Mon-Fri.
By the end of September she is finished, and life returns to normal around the Marleau household.

Thanks for all of your Prayers and well wishes.
You have no idea how much it is appreciated.

God Bless you All,

Eric and Judy

Good luck and hoping that evil 6 letter word is gone from your wife after the radiation therapy.
