Very Happy Looks like it ought to be a shooter-if you want to make it more accurate then lose the sling swivel off of the gas block, and make it a total free floater.

Sweet pick up! I have had great accuracy out of RRA 1:8 heavy barrels with 68/69 gr bullets. How is the eye relief on the scope? I would have to have it an inch or two further forward for my head.

dont really know the first thing about ARs accept what i learned in the corps...i think i may take the sling off the barrel like you said trbl. it'll be just a toy for me unless it'll shoot 1/2moa or better but it was a deal i couldnt refuse....old beater pickup truck that didnt run and i was hopin would just rust away before the wife made me do something with it for this rifle ....win win for me
it has a M1S 1-8 barrel that i believe is stainless after the 30rd mag i looked down the barrel and couldnt tell it had been fired so im hopin its a good one

Rather than stainless, the barrel is more likely chrome lined.

It could go either way. I was surprised to find out that they make stainless barrels and then cover them (assuming for shine) with the black coating.

Eremius, My M&P 9mm pistol is black stainless. Very common now but years ago it wasn't like that.
