It's quite normal the water enters your garden, you've left some big holes in your fence Smile

Water is a strange thing that often brings these opposite feelings of hate and love.
By the way: nothing better to get ducks than to put 5 to 10 cm water on a pasture.

about 120mm thats about 4" fell. local rivers went from2.4 up to94 cumecs another went from 2.3 up to 244 wtf and the opihi witch is about 10kms from the coast and normally able to be waded easy( around 10 cumecs) went to 1190 cumecs Shocked
the big old quarry pit over the road is filling subterrainiously (hows that for a wheelbarrow word!) the water is seeping in nicely there is about 25 ducks in residence. the kids and I might just get the canoe out for a paddle in the still water about 500mtrs x 150mtrs. still plenty of water flowing past but the worst looks to be past for now.

Yes, but does he have a boat to get you?

By the way: a few years ago some Italian introduced a cal 12 double with silenced barrels...

He would be in the boat with his/my son.
I have seen pictures of the under n over suppressed .12ga looked like a interesting idea but the drainpipe size would be off putting. .410s are suppressed quite abit too.

I cant see it being too much harder than a rifle.. I believe the theory is to bleed off most of the gasses through porting and capture them thus reducing the noise. the shot still goes on as normal but no muzzle flash either I guess?

OOOOO....look at all those dinners...ah, I mean ducks.

Not sure about a shotty, but a rifle when fired creates two different noises. There is the initial noise from the round going off...very loud, and sort of low pitched...then there is the sound of the projectile as it goes by or overhead...again, very loud and a high pitched crack (breaking the sound barrier I believe).

Suppressing the first sound is not overly difficult, just requires a muffler of sorts...but the second sound is very much different. To completely negate the second sound you need to reduce the velocity to sub sonic. Again, not overly difficult, but it will certainly alter the ballistics of the shot, and its performance.

Cheers, Vince
