Lower rings are not an option on these rifles, they are already as low as practical (bolt/objective bell)/mounts avail will allow that are available over the counter - I've found some lower but the bell hit's the tube or it's too close to the bolt handle etc., there's about 3-4mm clearance between the bell and the barrel.. I just need a smidge more weld due to a small face. Besides, it's fun for me to customise my guns esp when it costs nothing.
I do hear ya loud and clear though...maybe I'll get some custom rings made someday but, they're zeroed and not coming loose so...plus it's comfy and protective and if another larger than me wants to shoot it I just peel it back and good to go. That said....

Kabong was feeling left out so I made him a new one ...logo seems appropriate to me since he's the big boy in the safe so now his heads reinflated to the propper size again and it's quiet at night now so... wee bit more tirrming and this one's good to go.

it looks the part. Ive seen knee braces at the chemist that would be just the right size for this. I dont own a wet suit and no plurry way are you cutting up my waders Very Happy
my Zastava .223 has high mounts to allow the bolt handle to move. it looked dorky wtf with a small scope on it the 3x9x40mm still had room under it so I put a BIGGER scope 3x9x50mm on her and it looks just fine n dandy now. Very Happy
