New Jerseys laws are a clear violation of our second ammentment rights as Americans. If the Federal government is not able to govern over the firearms companys then the state sure as h3ll shouldn't be able to take such extreme measures against gun ownership.

Yeah, thats the sad part with our government (state & federal) getting involved. Heck, if they were any more involved the guns wouldn't shoot at all.

It's a pity jurors aren't more aware of Jury Nullification & use it in cases like this. Then it wouldn't matter what the Law said because after all, it is the Jury who is trying the accused & their say is (supposedly) final.

Yeah I heard about jury nullification a few years back and here in the US the laws have changed so much now, that if the attorney's get a wiff that the jury is going for a nullification, they can be removed. In fact, in the 70's thru the late 90's, the appeals court disallowed nullification every time. Seems to me, laws prevail over common sense anymore.

Just an update on this thread, he was Commuted by the governor.
