Thought you guys may enjoy this for a change. I took this in a wildlife refuge lake which had short bushy cypress trees growing in it. An estimated 45,000 snowy egrets and other birds nested in these trees each year. This photo was taken at about 4:00 AM one summer morning about 8 years ago. The lens was open for 90 seconds if memory serves. It is mostly snowy egrets, but if you look close you can see one wood stork with a pink head.

Way cool photo!! Yeah looks like Christmas. You can see their comfort zone is pretty small, wonder if there's a lot of bickering goin on. I've seen blue herons in trees around here and they're more solitary nesters. We get small batches of swans here, like to see them in a tree. (that just cracked me up)

Oh great...Now you've got everyone with their noses right next to the screen looking for a "pink head".

Nice photo...

And yer nose has a flat end now. Not to mention all the nose prints on the screen. Laughing

Good Morning Paul.

Haha

I have to admit. I have a huge print on my office wall and I can't find the other one. I'll keep looking.

BTW, this is a long exposure. The blurred blobs of white are the guys who decided to roll over in their sleep. Smile

Keep looking... I didn't look at all - It was just a comment to see how many would look close enough....

I would apologize but it is just too funny.
