Fantastic rifle. Wish I had one.

Try X-Treme 158gr CP RN/FP. It may chamber bettter but all depends on your action/what it likes. The cost dif is negligable esp considering the clean up time. These slugs have canalures too so you can roll crimp them to stop back-set.

Call X-Treme bullets and request some free samples, try Unique/Trailboss powder, take advantage of the bbl lentgh and load to well under max pressure.

Fantastic people to deal with and I've had excellent results with them.

My favorite for my Rossi M92, 20" barrel, is a C358-180RF cast bullet with 15.2 gr of Lil'Gun.

The bullet weighs about 184 gr using air cooled clip-on ww lead.

My best group has been paper patching with cigarette paper, no gas check or other lube. 1700 fps avg. and a .58" group at 25 yards (iron sites). At 50 to 100 yards, it takes water filled jugs all day long. But they are kind of chewy and they get real gummy if you over cook 'em. Maybe one day I will take to the deer woods.
