Ok, fnuser. I haven't responded lately but feel like I've got to keep moving on this project. I would rather next down a 6.8 to 6mm than neck up a .223. what do you think of this.

yeah, I guess since we have given in to swapping out stuff, besides the barrel I mean (bolt, cases,) There really isn't any reason to stop there, might as well do what we want. I have started looking at little bolt actions for a .257 Ugalde though. seriously considering doing the little Howa and getting c.d.i. precision bottom metal. trying to find some internal deminsions for the mags another candidate is the c.z. 527

Hope that goes well. Just ordered a Rock River Varmint Upper, 24-inch barrel with 1:8 twist. Just want to start shooting an enjoy it. I'll worry about a different cartridge for my next upper.
