Went hunting the last 3 days.

Got 9 goats!
Filled freezer to the brim.

Ending up with a stalk to the middle of a mob and scream at them instead of shooting them.
Having great time!!

Are these the goats that faint when they are startled? So you scared them, they fainted, then you went in and stabbed 9 of them before the woke up?

No they are not the fainting goat variety.
Although it might be more fun to scream at them Very Happy

Here is a shot of a typical goat size I get. It is not too big, thus not smelly and more tender meat.

This particular one is shot on its neck from the side.

The ho-ho-hollow point Evil Devil

projectile just managed to expand and make almost a 1.5 inch exit point.
Some blood on fur because I have to drag/lift this one over 2km out from the bush.
Silly me, I left my knife and rope in the car.

Here is another one that were shot in the chest.

split into pieces on impact with chest bone.
Only one exit point seen on skin, presumed to be the main base of the bullet.

Somewhere in the forum (a couple of years ago) there is my post about this particular projectile.
45-70 Govt shot out at subsonics 1000 fps.

Lead bullets are cheap (I cast my own), the goat do not see the difference between lead and copper.
I used have been experimenting with the alloying and got to the point that sot into a sand pile it mushroomed to over 1 inch.
