I decided to get in a little shooting practice yesterday. I might have had the perfect 5-round 125yard group, had I first fired a fouler. The single round that's a bit higher than the other four was the first round shot from a cleaned barrel.

Gotta love that .204 - best shooting stock off-the-shelf rifle I have ever owned.

I think we know who has the best shooting rifle on the forum! That's bench rest caliber!! I always take a fouler and it always makes a difference.

I was just doing a little plinking/practicing so I didn't bother with the usual fouler.

Benchrest - NO, I don't pretend to be in the same class as those guys. I've watched a few BR matches. The better shooters are in a class way above what my rifle and my shooting are capable of.

I did manage to blow away a couple of eggs at 300 yards, but it took me more than two rounds, almost two mags.

take out your flier and I find it hard to believe you can get a group much smaller.

I actually did have a group a bit bigger than half that size. If you look closely, the 4-round group has a hole larger than the single flier. In the other group I am talking about, the multi-round group had a hole that was the same size as, or even a hair smaller than, the single flier. In that target the "flier" was held off center intentionally because the hole from the group was so small that I thought the scope had gone awry and the rounds were hitting off the paper.
